Great Day in Texas

Tax Day 04-15-2009
What a great day to be a Texan!

On tax day. April 15th. 2009, thousands turned out at venues all over the country to protest against the irresponsible spending and inept representation we have in Washington DC. People all over the country, from all walks of life and political backgrounds, are coming forward to say "Enough is Enough" to our elected officials. It was a wonderful day for Texans as Texas took center stage in this historical event. Our own Governor Rick Perry showed Texas sized passion and conviction as he hurled our dissenting message all the way to Washington. I have not been a fan or Mr. Perry's but all may be forgiven if he keeps up this tirade! It truly was a great day to be a Texan.

It was a great day as hundreds of thousands in America as well. The news heads quickly scrambled to spin the issue and events of the day while others ignored the entire story. The CNN anchorwoman (Susan Rosedon) actually took on a protester and made an absolute fool of herself right on camera. The New York Times simply decided it wasn't news worthy and did not cover the story. In fact, a spokesman from the White House said that Obama was not aware of the Tea Parties. Good, keep your head in the sand til 1010 and 1012.

The Homeland Security dept issued report this week regarding the increasing threat of the right wing activist....oh really. Apparently, it you support a single cause like abortion rights, right to bear arms, freedom of speech....you might be militant. If you are a member of special interest like NRA or a certain christian denomination....you might be militant. Also, if you oppose this President, find his or Congress behavior deplorable, and are planning to oppose them at every turn, you might be militant. Well, I know which side I am on, how about you?
This isn't a single day event, this is the beginning of us taking back our country. This "hope and change" isn't working. If you are wanting a socialist country, there are plenty out there that need workers. As for America, I am proud to see our resolve has returned. We will get this bull by the horns.....you know what happens to bulls, right?
